We finally made it to the local village today, albeit by car. We had two perfect excuses to avoid walking, firstly we would have too much to carry back, and secondly it was too bloody hot. Today has been the hottest of the week, the only saving grace being a cooling breeze. The village of Liopetri is small and centred around a staggered crossroads with a little park area. There was hardly anyone out and about though. Everyone was either at home or sitting outside a cafe in the shade.
After this short trip we headed back for some more chilling by the pool.
We are having a bit of a do tonight so we are all contributing various dishes for the meal and the obligatory alcoholic drinks. Anyway, it should be a good way to spend our final night in Cyprus. Here are some views of the village…
